I am a Michigan gal living it up in the Midwest with my beautiful family that includes my high school sweetheart husband, our three children, and a few random animals. We spend our days working on our home, chasing around our set of twins, playing butler to our 10 {going on 15} year old daughter, and of course lounging on the beach.
Recently I have developed a vibrant passion for home renovation. While I have always had a spark for home decor and interior design, I lacked a push in the right direction. Also, after all these years I am just now figuring out my style. After many years of bare walls and unpacked boxes I came to the conclusion that it is perfectly O.K. to make mistakes, try new things, and change your mind as long as it makes you happy to come home.
While the house I am in now is far from my dream home I have come to the realization that your home is what you make it. No more living with boring furniture and bare walls for me! So, while I do this, I want to take you on the journey with me. Maybe teach some things, learn some things, inspire people, open my world, and make new friends.
As a small town girl who grew up on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan I long for the day when I rebuild a little lake cottage with all the things I have learned during the revamp of my current home. I dream of the day when I am able sit on a cozy deck decorated with galvanized buckets, glowing lanterns, and DIY pillows while staring out onto a beautiful body of water with a glass of wine and good book. I cannot wait to create precious memories with my little ones on the shores of a sandy beach all day and roasted marshmallows at night. Hopefully you all will be with me on that journey as well, and I will be sure to share in every detail.
